With the Autumn Nations Cup finally coming to a tremendous crescendo this afternoon, it did feel deflating that France could only start a bunch of youngsters and stragglers in their first final in years... After watching the game however, I think most nations would take those stragglers and give them a half century of caps from that performance alone! Aggressive, relentless and disciplined, the French outfit put in a huge performance and nearly, ever so nearly, caused one of the biggest upsets in world Rugby. However, England's 'never say die' attitude and constant physicality, gave them just enough to overpower this young French squad; even as an England fan, the difference between the two sides purely came down to the referees interpretation of the ruck, which I felt was very harsh on the French jackalers...
