As has been the unfortunate trend for a lot of Worcester Rugby's games this season, this Saturday's Premiership match between Worcester and Gloucester has now been cancelled because of a new coronavirus case in the Gloucester squad.
It's no surprise as Gloucester returned a number of positive Covid tests last weekend, which also saw their home game against bitter rivals Bath also called off. The majority of the Cherry and Whites squad is now self isolating, meaning that Skivington can't put together a 23 man squad for the south west clash.
As has been the case throughout this season, a Premiership Rugby panel will allocate the points for this match.
Worcester are likely to be handed the four points and Gloucester just two, again something that has already happened twice to Worcester thus far this season.
"While no one wants to call off any match, especially the last game of the season, our priority is the health and safety of everyone involved with Gloucester Rugby and Worcester Warriors," said a Premiership statement.
